How was your Sunday? I sat on my tuchus all day and it was glorious. I rarely take time to actually be still and allow my mind and body to prepare for the week ahead. I’m usually working thru the weekend to catch up on projects. If I’m not careful, weeks will go by where I didn’t take a day off.

It makes me think about why God commands the Sabbath. He rested on the seventh day - but He didn’t need to! He’s the Almighty! What that models for us is to reflect on His glory and to align our heart and minds with His. Our pastor said something that I’m sure someone needs to hear, because I sure did.

No God.
No Peace.

Know God.
Know Peace.

And the only way to know Him is thru prayer and His word. I pray peace for you today, friend, and if you need a specific prayer, leave me a comment below. Or take a moment to share praise. Because we all need to hear some good news!

And if you need some more encouragement, I posted a song written by our friend @philbardowell - it’ll make you smile. And I’m grinning especially huge because my handsome husband @trentfancher is playing drums on the track. 🥰

Anyone else’s week absolutely fly by? It’s crazy, but I feel like I blinked and it was Friday. Not that I’m complaining! 😉

What’s on your agenda for the weekend? We will still be working on our music room soundproofing and I may catch up on some admin work. Not much fun, but it’s gotta be done.

But tonight - we’re going to have some family time and I am holding tight to this time with my sweet boys. If it’s flying like this week did, I’m going to cling on for as long as I can.

Seventeen years ago today, I got the best job titl

Seventeen years ago today, I got the best job title in the world - Mom. It changed my life - for the better. I don’t know who has grown up more, him or me, but I’m immensely blessed.

Happy Birthday to my 6’7” gentle giant who has a keen wit, mad music skillz, impeccable writing acumen, and his love and compassion for others inspires me to do better. Tomorrow we order his cap and gown and it baffles me that we were just holding him for the first time for what seems like yesterday. My - how time has flown!

My boys are the greatest gift Trent has ever given me, so I thought I’d share one of my favorite pics from my sunroom.

Do I want another cuppa? Why, yes, please! I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone and created this fun Christmas Coffee and Cocoa bar. I have always wanted to create one, but never really had the space. And now I do! I love this Butler’s Pantry all decked out in Christmas-y peppermint decor.

What about you? Do you make a coffee or cocoa bar around the holidays? I set this one up about a week ago and my boys have already devoured all the goodies!

It’s Tuesday, y’all and it’s super cold here

It’s Tuesday, y’all and it’s super cold here, but alas, no snow. The forecast said there *might* be snow for about 15 minutes and our boys had their noses pressed against the window with no avail.

I think it was loving in Vegas for 7 years that made snow so magical for us. Funny story - the first year we lived in Vegas, there was a record breaking snowfall and it was glorious! And all of us enjoyed it, except Trent. He had left the day before to perform a show in Australia and he was so disappointed. Growing up in Birmingham, he didn’t see snow very often.

So ever since then, any mention of snow is greatly anticipated.

Since it passed us by, tell me if you got any snow where you live. We can live vicariously through you!

Here’s a sneak peak of our pantry hall. Next week I will share our butlers pantry all decked out for a Christmas coffee and cocoa bar!
